The Poetry Tree


Welcome! to The Poetry Tree

The Poetry Tree is a literary experiment to write collaborative poetry. With most collaborative work, you have to join in at the end. With the Poetry Tree, you can pick any point in the poem, and branch it off in a new direction. If you're not sure how it works, why not try it out?

Poetry Tree

(Start new poem)   I love me camera
(replace line)   but me camera don't love me
(replace line)   I try to photograph me face
(replace line)   The shutter snaps disdainfully
(replace line)   The flash hits me between the eyes
(replace line)   My expression one big surprise!
(replace line)   And then the film is ready to send
(replace line)   To the magic place
(replace line)   Which makes portraits appear
(replace line)   On slips of paper
(replace line)   paper made of tree
(Add line)
